Biography
Alicia K Geilenberg – Drakiotes of Marlborough, NH, is a representational painter. Predominantly self taught, her created works of art reflect a culmination of the German Expressionist and Realist Traditions. Most recent pastel works reflect a painterly style and are inspired by native New England landscape and agriculture.

She has a preferred interest in soft pastel, oil and monotype mediums. Drakiotes' pastel and oil works incorporate a colorful palette which presents motion and feeling in which vibrant colors and flexibility of application allow greater expressiveness. Recent works incorporate an under painting where the broken color technique allows part of the under painting to show through the finished piece.

"Color and Light are critical components of my painterly works. I try to express the emotion and strength I feel within each work. It is important that the viewer grasp the sense of place I create in my subjects, so that they can relate them into their personal life experiences while appreciating them."

Drakiotes is an award winning artist whose works are in private collections throughout the United States and Internationally.
